Their rounded drum forms and individual grain make every piece unique. Choose the 18-inch diameter x 18-inch height Puzzle Drum in Walnut, or the 20-inch diameter x 18-inch height Barrel Drum in Walnut or Oak. Available size and finish combinations are shown above.

A solid wood side table with its own character

Use this sculptural wood accent table beside a sofa or chair, as a bedside table, or as a display pedestal for a lamp, bowl, or plant. The 20-inch Barrel Drum has a smooth rounded form. The 18-inch Puzzle Drum has a different design with a carved puzzle-like band around its body. Each piece is carved from one wood block rather than assembled from laminated boards, and arrives fully assembled.

Hand-carved monkeypod wood

The material is solid monkeypod (Samanea saman), also called rain tree and marketed in the US as acacia. Haussmann's artisans in Thailand kiln-dry, rough-shape, and hand-carve the wood. Grain, knots, natural checks, mineral streaks, and chainsaw or chisel marks vary from piece to piece. Some areas may be smoothed or repaired with wood glue mixed with sawdust during finishing.

Two wood finishes

Walnut and Oak describe the finish colors, not different wood species.
